Inspiring Learning Environments for Schools & Universities

Innovative, durable fit-outs designed for the way people learn today.

The environments in which people learn have a huge effect on engagement, wellbeing, and outcomes. At DW Joinery & Contracts, we partner with schools, colleges, and universities to create functional, inspiring spaces that support modern education, from dynamic primary school classrooms to collaborative university study zones.

We have extensive experience working within occupied educational settings, which means we understand the importance of careful planning, strict Health & Safety compliance, and scheduling work around term times and operational hours. Our teams are professional, DBS-checked where required, and committed to causing minimal disruption to staff and students throughout the project.

Our educational fit-out services span everything from bespoke joinery and built-in storage solutions to full classroom and common area refurbishments. We work with durable, easy-to-maintain materials that are fit for purpose in high-traffic environments, ensuring your investment stands the test of time.

From first consultation through to project completion, DW Joinery & Contracts manages every aspect of the process with robust project management, transparent communication, and the kind of craftsmanship that reflects the quality your institution deserves.

BROADWATER SCHOOL – HOW WE IMPROVED THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Broadwater school, based in Godalming, Surrey, wanted to improve their learning environment for their students. At the same time they were faced with the same challenges ever school faces – how they could reduce their overheads and leave as much of the budget free as possible to go towards future improvements. What’s more they has to negotiate the challenge of when to improve the school – with only narrow windows when they children were not in class

DW Interiors completely revamped all of the classrooms in the school. This included new LED lighting that will reduce energy costs by up to 80% and even the creation of new small glass fronted classrooms. Meaning there there are more rooms for the school to now use to teach – which provides greater flexibility to the educators.
